It should be noted that during the first eight months of this year Russians have bought about $45 billion, which is 50% more than the same period last year. Demand for dollars has increased dramatically, the demand for Euro has not changed. In addition, banks were imported cash dollars three times more than in 2013. On 1 September 2014, the country imported cash dollars to $20 billion (for comparison, in 2013 this amounted to only $7 billion).

On 12 of November the Bank of Russia established the Euro exchange rate at the level 57,0494 rubles, dollar – 45,9520 RUB.
