06 of April. In March inflation in Russia slowed to 1.2% (for comparison, in February the inflation rate was 2.2% in January and 3.9%). This is stated in the materials published by Rosstat. In annual terms inflation in March 2015 reached 16.9%.
For comparison, in the previous year in March the prices grew by 1.0%, from the beginning of year – 2,3%.
The head of the MAYOR Alexei Ulyukayev has previously predicted that inflation in March of the current year will be below inflation in March of the previous year.
According to Rosstat of the Russian Federation, prices of goods in March rose by 1.5% (for food products by 1.6%, on articles of food without fruit-and-vegetable products by 1.4%), services – by 0.3%.
Compared with March 2014 in annual terms, prices of goods increased by 18.4% (on food and 23% on food without fruit-and-vegetable production – by 21.1%, non-food – 13.9%), services – by 12.6%.
In St. Petersburg the rise in consumer prices in March amounted to 1,0% (from the beginning of year – 8,4%), in Moscow - 1,5% (since the beginning of the year to 7.9%).
