100 tons of pork from China is the beginning of Russia's cooperation with Chinese entrepreneurs. The end of the year it is planned to bring several thousand more tons of meat, which will help Russian producers do not reduce the volume of its production.
The end of the year enterprises of the Khabarovsk Krai will receive about 1 thousand tons of pork. This meat will be sent for recycling. As a result of this meat will be: sausage, meat products and delicacies. To evaluate pork from China Khabarovsk will be able next week (around the 24th of December), at the time the products arrive on the shelves of stores. The first batch of pork was delivered by trucks through Primorye.
Pork imports are carried out in accordance with the contracts concluded between the managers of meat-processing plants during a visit to China. To supply products to Russia accredited so far only two plants, both located in Heilongjiang province. Pork production is under the careful supervision of specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
Xenia Khalimonov (head of Department food and processing industry of the regional Ministry of agriculture and food) said that we have all the documents confirming the quality of pork. "The supply of pork will help to reduce the food deficit and to stabilize the prices in the meat market. The price of Chinese pork is lower than other suppliers," said Ksenia Kalimonova.
Recall that the need for new suppliers arose in connection with the entered restrictions on import to Russia of certain products. Today, approximately 15% of imported meat is prohibited.
"We had almost completely replaced suppliers – now Russia is cooperating with Paraguay, Brazil and Uruguay", - said Ksenia Kalimonova.
Khabarovsk Krai can provide ourselves with meat for about 20% of the required volume. The local agriculture Ministry is currently actively working to increase the production of local meat.
