"The film will be screened in over 50 cinemas in different cities of Russia: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Astrakhan, Vladivostok, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Penza, Perm, Ryazan, Rostov-on-don, Tyumen and Yaroslavl, - have informed in a press-service of the TV channel 24_doc".
The film tells about the events of 2013, when Edward Snowden (a former agent of the national security Agency of USA) met with the film's Director Laura Poitras and journalist for the British newspaper the Guardian Glenn Greenwald in a hotel room in Hong Kong.
In Russia the film was first demonstrated in the framework of the 37th Moscow international film festival in June 2015. Then, Snowden's lawyer Anatoly Kuchera, presenting a picture, said that the film Poitras demonstrates "what a tough time we live in."
Edward Snowden gave journalists documents about surveillance programs of the us national security Agency, fled in June 2013 from the U.S. to Hong Kong.
