26 of September. The Supreme and the General Council of the party "United Russia" approved the candidacy of first deputy head of the Russian Presidential Administration Vyacheslav Volodin for the nomination for the post of speaker of the State Duma of the 7-th convocation.
At the meeting, Chairman of the "United Russia", Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev reminded the audience that the issue of electing the Speaker of the State Duma will be discussed at the first meeting. "I propose to recommend to our party to introduce the candidature of Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin to the post of Chairman of the State Duma of the 7th convocation," - said Dmitry Medvedev.
This proposal was supported unanimously by the United Russia party.
September 23 Vladimir Putin at a meeting with leaders of the parties held in the State Duma proposed to support the candidacy of Volodin to the post of the Speaker of the State Duma. Russian President recalled that the Speaker of the State Duma of the 6th convocation Sergei Naryshkin was appointed head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Recall that the results of elections held on September 18 "United Russia" won 343 mandates out of 450 possible. Volodin led the 15th group of the federal list of United Russia, received the most mandates.
The first meeting of the State Duma of the 7-th convocation will be held October 5, 2016.
