17 of April. Summer Olympic games 2016 will be held in Rio de Janeiro. Authorities have estimated that the Olympics will spend about 36,7 billion reais (2.25 real is equal to $1). 60% of all costs will lay down on shoulders of private business.
Developed by the authorities of Rio de Janeiro budget includes three parts. The first part includes the costs of organising and holding of competitions, the appointment and placement of judges and athletes, moving them during games and other similar expenses up to the power of volunteers to help organize this event. This part of the costs will take the organising Committee of the Olympic games. Presumably, these costs will take about 7 billion reais.
The second part of the budget for the construction of Olympic venues. For these purposes will spend about 5.6 billion reais. It is planned to construct stadiums, sports grounds, Olympic village and other facilities, without which the Olympics cannot.
The third part of the budget, said the organizers, "the Olympic legacy". This includes large-scale projects in the sphere of city infrastructure, transport (new metro stations, roads, hotels), also do not forget about the programs on ecology. On the portion of budget planned to spend 24.1 billion reais.
The authorities of Rio de Janeiro does not yet allow the budget to grow. Recall that in 2009 Brazil applied to host the summer Olympic games. In the application it was stated that the Olympics will be spent 28.9 billion reais that the inflation-adjusted equivalent to the current 38.1 billion reals. The organizers managed to attract more private investors, their share increased almost 4 times (initially it was assumed that the share of private investment is only 15%).
However, the time for preparation for the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, to put it mildly, short. On this authorities hinted the international Olympic Committee at the Executive Committee meeting in Antalya. The international Olympic Committee plans to appoint an auditor, who will monitor the preparation for the Olympic games in 2016.
