Yesterday on an official portal of disclosure of information the documents containing the new rules regarding foreign nationals entering the Russian Federation.
Violators of the migration regime would not be able to enter into the Russian Federation for 10 years. This penalty also applies to foreign citizens who are in Russia for more than 9 months (that is over 270 days) after the legally permitted time of stay (the new rules state that this period is not more than three months every half-year).
For those foreign nationals who illegally stayed in Russia for 6 months, the ban on entry into the country will last for 5 years.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin signed amendments that simplify the registration of Russian visas and extend their validity. Official and diplomatic visas will not be granted for 3 months, as it was before, and the year. Ordinary private visa is issued for up to 3 months or up to 1 year, based on the principle of reciprocity. Tourist visa – for the term from 1 month to 6 months based on the same principle. Ordinary business or humanitarian visa will be issued for a period up to 1 year or up to 5 years.
The amendments also contain innovations relating to the visa. Now, apart from surname, name, sex and date of birth of the visa will contain a photo.
