From 1 of August 2015 for three intersections in Moscow will be a new layout with a confectionery called "waffle iron".
It is applied to the intersection and as soon as the red light is on, starts to "fry" drivers. Those who do not have time to leave the intersection, will be fined in the amount of 1000 rubles.
"Waffle iron" may be the most effective way of dealing with lovers to travel to clogged intersections. They provoke collapses on the road, when no one from the crossroads to go anywhere can not. The same markup in different versions is used in many cities around the world. It is good that drivers clearly understand that they have moved to the junction area. An experiment combines the idea of the expert center "Traffic" and the Moscow center of traffic organization. The experiment takes place in Moscow on behalf of the Vice-Premier of RF government Igor Shuvalov.
In March this year conducted a survey of public opinion, where such marking is necessary in the first place. Received several dozen variants. And often there were opinions that "waffle iron" is required at each intersection. According to the head of the "no traffic Jams" Alexander Shumsky in the selection took into account several criteria: that the intersections were equipped with traffic lights with countdown reverse time, had the correct shape, often stand in traffic jams.
For starters, we chose three crossroads on the streets velozavodskaya and Avtozavodskaya, Lenin and velozavodskaya, Bashilovskaya and Second Kvesisskaya. At these crossroads will place informational signs warning of the rules of travel.
