The concept of maternity leave, as such, the current Russian legislation does not contain. However, the Labor code of 30.12.2001 №107-FZ provides for two vacations (vacation and maternity leave, leave to care for a child), together, these two vacations in everyday conversation is called maternity leave.

- other payments.

Sick pay and maternity leave

According to the Federal law from 29.12.2006 №255-FZ "On compulsory social insurance against temporary disability and maternity" benefit and maternity leave is paid at 100% of average wage for the 2 years preceding the year of departure on maternity leave. Insured women, insurance periods of less than 6 months, the allowance for pregnancy and childbirth is paid in the amount not exceeding for full calendar month the minimum wage.

The concrete size of payment of sick leave is determined by the formula:

where

D2 – revenue for 2 years, including all kinds of salary, which was accrued insurance premiums (for the year 2015 count 2013 and 2014).

T2 is a time period that is calculated by adding the number of days in 2 years (730 or 731, if a leap year), from which are deducted the days spent on sick leave, maternity leave and leave from work.

B – the number of days granted sick leave and maternity leave.

A pregnant woman takes a sick leave from work, where for 10 days are required to calculate the amount to be paid. After that, funds are transferred to the employee a lump sum one lump sum.

At the end of sick leave and maternity leave, the woman goes on leave for child care up to 1.5 years. This leave is also paid. In accordance with Federal law No. 255-FZ of working women paid leave in the amount of 40% of average monthly earnings for the 2 years preceding the year of departure on maternity leave, but not less minimum size of this allowance.

The size of payments is calculated by the formula:

where

D2, G2 – similar to the previous formula: return for the last two years and the number of days in 2 years;

A 30.4 – the average number of days in the month for the year, the Federal law No. 255-FZ (clause 5.1 of article 14);

40% - the size of the average monthly wage.

Working women receive an allowance for child care on a monthly basis on the day of disbursement of wages to employees.

Unemployed women receive a payment of benefits to care for a child in a fixed amount that is indexed annually, and depends on what the child is paid. Unemployed women receive benefits through the social security authority of each month, not later than the 20th of the month.

Other payments

In addition to the above benefits, provides other benefits. For each child put the aid at birth of the child, issued by the social security authority. The benefit is paid as a lump sum. The amount is set annually, depending on inflation.

Wives and children of servicemen, conscripts are entitled to certain fixed payments, issued by the social security authority.
