08 February 2014 were competitions in three types: short program in women's short program at the dancers on the ice and skating in couples. Russian athletes took the lead in the spirit from three disciplines.
Sports couple Fedor Klimov and Ksenia Stolbova perform well and won the first place in any program. They were gaining 135,09 points. For comparison, the Canadians (second, pair Dylan Moskovich and Kirsten Moore-towers) 129,74 points. Third place was taken by couple from Italy ondřej Gotrek and Stephanie Burton (they 120,82 points).
On account of Russian national team on figure skating for 47 points. The Canadians got 41 points, third place went to the team from the USA (they have 34 points).
Another victory in the team event brought the figure skater Yulia Lipnitskaya, won the short program in women. She skated the program just fine, ahead of Italian Carolina Kostner and the Japanese Mao Asada. We will remind that Yulia is only 15 years old, but it shows a really professional skating. The Minister of sports Vitaly Mutko expressed his delight about Julia's skating.
After the performance Julia has admitted that he was surprisingly calm before the performance. Also young skater said that rostrum very loudly supported it, this support helped a lot.
Julia is originally from Yekaterinburg, in 2012 she won the world Junior championship, in 2013 he became Vice-champion in 2014 she won the European championship. She is the master of sports of international class. She started to ride 4 years.
The only discipline in which our skaters are unable to take first place is the ice dancing. Dmitri Soloviev and Ekaterina Bobrova are unable to get ahead of the American and canadian athletes. The victory went to USA's Charlie white and Meryl Davis (they got 75,98 points). In second place – Scott moir and Tessa Minutemen (they 72,98 points).
