November 21. Since November 15, manufacturers of cigarettes are obliged to produce their products in a new unattractive packaging. On the side it should be indicated that this product contains systemic poisons.
Scary pictures should now be on both sides of the package, their size should be at least 50 percent of the area of the pack. And on the front side - at the top of the pack, and on the reverse side - can be both above and below, the main thing is that it does not overlap with the excise label and do not collapse after opening the package. The pictures should depict human organs, destroyed by diseases, provoked by smoking, as well as an explanation of what exactly is depicted. Also, in a pack of cigarettes, you can not put any liners now. "Light" cigarettes will disappear together with "ultra", "extra" and the like.
As explained in the Ministry of Health, marking cigarettes with the words "ultra", "extra" and the like can create the impression that "light" cigarettes are less harmful, but this is not so. In order not to mislead consumers, the packaging of tobacco products is now prohibited from indicating the amount of nicotine, carbon monoxide and tar, because this information can create the illusion that the lower the content of these substances, the more harmless the product. This is also cunning!
Numerous studies conducted in Europe and the US have shown that people who use "light" cigarettes suffer from terrible diseases as often as those who use ordinary cigarettes. These diseases are equally difficult for them. Therefore, such marking has long been banned in the US and the EU.
Also on the packs of cigarettes it is now forbidden to put pictures and inscriptions that can cause the association of their contents with food, medicinal herbs and "goodies". An exception is only for menthol.
Also on November 15, companies that produce tobacco products for countries belonging to the Eurasian Economic Union are obliged to disclose to the Ministries of their countries information about the composition of tobacco products and smoke from it.
